New Horizons Fellowship Youth is a relational ministry that exists to reach out to unbelieving youth, to connect them to other Christians to help them grow in their faith, and to challenge growing Christians to discover their ministry and honor God with their life.
Youth Celebration, Sundays at 11:00am
New Horizons offers a Celebration designed especially for tweens and teens (students grades 6-12).
This Celebration takes place on Sundays at 11:00am in NHF West, located at 816 E. Williams Street, right next to the main New Horizons Fellowship space. Youth participate in musical praise and worship in the auditorium and then walk next door for their teaching after the prayer.
Students in their weekly Celebration time enjoy age-appropriate teaching, group discussion, and opportunities to build relationships with leaders, other tweens and teens.
For more information about the Youth Celebration, or to volunteer, please contact Mia Peters, NHF’s Youth Ministry Leader.
Prayer Partner Network
Prayer is a powerful thing! That’s why there are more than 40 adults within NHF, each praying for a specific youth each day.
If you’re a youth, regardless of whether you’re participating in NHF’s youth activities, and you’d like to see if having someone pray for you daily would make a difference in your life, contact Mia Peters, Youth Ministry Leader, to say you’d like to have a prayer partner to pray for you!
If you’re an adult and would like to serve as a prayer partner, contact Mia Peters, Youth Ministry Leader, to volunteer. You’ll receive a bookmark with the name of a youth and general information to guide your prayers. You’ll also be notified if your assigned youth identifies specific prayer requests. Each day, you pray for your youth, and see how God shows up in his or her life, and in yours!
Small groups are a way for youth to connect to other youth at New Horizons Fellowship who may share similar goals, interests, or circumstances. These groups may meet weekly, twice a month or periodically, at NHF’s facility or at other locations such as homes or coffeeshops. These groups are gender and/or age specific and/or topic of interest specific (such as middle school boys or high school or the book of Daniel). Youth small groups run September to early December and January to early June.
Youth small groups are always looking for additional leaders to offer additional small groups. Mia is currently seeking adult facilitators for Youth Game Nights on 2nd and 4th Wednesday nights during the small group sessions and weekly from June to August.
Frequent events include: Youth Small Groups, Youth Game Nights, Family Movie Nights, Holiday or Occasion Parties, Family Information Mixers.
Annual events include: Spring Lock-In, Summer Mission Trip, Family Work Days , Fall Retreat.
