International Missions

New Horizons has sent two teams to Argentina in partnership with Silvano Caseres, a pastor in Tandil.  The first team worked with a local church teaching The Purpose Driven Life and also painted a mural on one of the walls of the church for their children’s ministry.  The second team was a music team that performed secular music as an outreach to the community.

For the past 5 years New Horizons has partnered with The Word at Work in Belize.  The teams have done many different projects, but typically do light construction and go to Kings Childrens Home and/or  Dorothy Menzies children’s home and work with the orphans there.

In Angers, France, New Horizons has worked in partnership with Charles and Debra Reynolds, full time missionaries.   The team in 2009 did light construction on the prayer house adjacent to Charles and Debra’s home and also performed magic shows to connect to the community. NHF has also sent music teams to Lille, France, over the course of a 5 year partnership, to participate in the Fete de la Musique as an outreach method.

In 2008 NHF sent its first team to Tokyo, Japan in partnership with the International Mission Board.  The team used Christmas as an outreach tool by dressing in Christmas-themed costumes (Santa and Mrs. Claus, Frosty, Rudolph) and offering the opportunity to practice English, along with providing Christian literature to people on the street.

Southern Africa/Mozambique

For the past 7 years New Horizons has partnered with Eastside Community Church in Pretoria, South Africa and Global Missions South Africa which focuses its ministry in Mozambique.  We have sent 6 teams to Dondo, Mozambique to help with the construction of a Bible Training Center.  The teams have also done outreach in the village to women and children.
