NHF reaches out into the community to meet local, regional, and international needs. These needs are met in partnership with existing organizations, which lend their knowledge and expertise to the projects NHF undertakes.

Local areas of involvement regularly include Jailhouse Rock (prison ministry), Geriatric Jam (rest home ministry), Meals on Wheels, Western Wake Crisis Ministry, and The Christmas Store.

Regionally, NHF sends volunteers affiliated with its DIRT (Disaster Immediate Relief Team) to areas hit by natural disasters or terrorist acts.

Internationally, NHF has ongoing relationships with ministry activities in Argentina, Belize, France, Japan and Southern Africa.
