New Horizons Fellowship children’s ministry exists to share the good news of God’s love with children age birth to fifth grade.
The goal is for kids to grow up to love God, serve Him actively and honor Him in all areas of their lives.
Values of NHF Children’s Ministry are:
- Children should be kept safe spiritually, emotionally and physically
- Ministry is child-targeted
- Lessons are relevant to kids now
- Bible lessons are taught creatively
- Small groups are the key to modeling Christ to children
- FUN is important and valued
Sunday morning KidsDiscovery activities are available at 9:30 and 11:00 during the adult Celebration. Weeknight childcare and Bible studies sometimes exist to complement weeknight activities for adults.
Child-targeted special events happen regularly at New Horizons Fellowship. Examples of special events include Vacation Bible School, family night events, and a birthday party for Jesus at Christmas.
New Horizons Fellowship offers a variety of creative arts opportunities for preschool and elementary-aged children, including crafts, music, and drama. Several times a year, the children appear on stage during the Adult Celebration for Kids’ Praise and Dance.
Throughout the year, children participate in local and international mission’s projects through Compassion International, the Christmas Store, Western Wake Crisis Ministry and The Raleigh Rescue Mission.
